His soaring, and seemingly endless, tenor has soothed souls and uplifted spirits for decades, on chart-topping songs such as Stand, We Fall Down, The Prayer, I Need You, and many others McClurkin has achieved success across many genres with his hit songs that have transcended the Gospel format and found their way onto Urban and Christian Contemporary charts and playlists, making his a household name and a highly sought-after presence on some of the worlds most esteemed stages and platforms. Now, McClurkin returns with brand new music and a brand new sound, fit to bless and unify all nations. McClurkin has traveled the world, singing in various countries and in nearly as many languages, proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ far and wide. In his travels, he has noticed cultural divides that segment the body of Christ rather than connect it. This reality has burdened McClurkin and he has long felt compelled to serve as a catalyst to affect change.
McClurkin refers to his new music as a God-inspired global sound that defies geographical boundaries, filled with universally applicable lyrics and cadences, intended to foster a world-wide worship movement. He credits the Holy Spirit for depositing this new sound into his spirit, coupled with a commission to serve as a kingdom ambassador to and for all the world. McClurkins new release includes all original songs, including the infectious lead single, There Is God, a bold and beautiful proclamation celebrating the omnipresence of God.

We Got This (Bonus Track) - 2:11This Is Absolutley Walter Waiters.Known to many as The Maverick of Soul Blues, Walter Waiters has been a force to be reckoned with in both genres for almost two decades.Born in San Antonio Texas, Walter began his musical journey at the early age of 3. His Mother noticed him humming and playing the edge of their coffee table as if it were a prized Baldwin Piano; matching each note with the pounding of his fingers.
After watching young Walter for a while, she said that she had a feeling that if she were to buy him something with piano keys on it, he would play it. She was right! From the moment Walter began teaching himself to play the instrument which would introduce him to the masses, he never failed to impress his siblings, and neighbors with his ability to take any song and customize it to fit 'his element'. Concert goers to this day have been blown away by Walters ability to make any cover he takes on unique to his own style.During his teen years and well into his twenties, Walter would perform in talent shows, at a local church, and would often sneak into blues spots to jam with whomever would let him sit in. Walter does credit his time playing in the Church for developing his ear and ability to improvise at the drop of a dime. He would say ' During that time, it was less about spectacle and more about feeling, and feeling has no key.
You had to feel your way though a persons song'.During a Blues concert he was attending in the early 90's which featured one of his all time favorite artists Buddy Ace, Walter had a chance encounter with the Soul Blues Singer who would forever change his direction. Buddy told Walter that the genre would need guys like him who could write and perform to keep the music alive. Sadly later that year, his hero would pass away while performing on a stage in Texas.
Walter vowed to keep his promise to the late singer and to himself, thus giving birth to The Man we now know as The Maverick. Hello In There - 4:2611. When The Blues Come Knockin' - 3:2012. Big Boss Man - 3:51This is an album of electric blues that at times mixes in elements of roots rock and jazz. The college town of Carbondale, Illinois, boasts one of the midwest’s most vibrant music scenes. And everyone here will tell you that, towering over the summit of its extensive pantheon, stands the great Tawl Paul Fredrick.Growing up on Chicago’s south side, Paul got hit hard by the blues and soul, fell in love with them. He grew up to serve with the army in Vietnam, and then came to Carbondale in the early 1970s to attend college. Soon afterward, he joined a band, and discovered two things: He was born to sing and Carbondale was his home.
For fifty years now he’s sung the blues from there. Along the way, he’s made himself into one of the scene’s most revered performers, and established a reputation as one of the wildest, most unrestrained acts around. For decades now Paul’s bands have consisted of the cream of Carbondale’s musicians, creating out-of-the-box arrangements of traditional blues and soul songs and transforming classic rock songs like “Sweet Jane” into rampaging roots music.
Underneath it all lays Paul’s astonishing voice, a raw force of nature so low, so deep, local impresario Harry Klein once wrote, that it sounds as if it’s coming from below the stage.Performers here have come and gone. Paul, however, has planted his flag and made his stand in Carbondale, enriching the region to the point where in 2013, Mayor Joel Fritzler declared June 23 Tawl Paul Day. And legendary local dive bar PK’s now holds an annual Tawl Paul Weekend every June in his honor, with local music greats coming out and alumni returning in droves to pay homage.Tawl Paul’s legacy, however, has been largely confined to the stage. That’s resulted in many legendary performances, but if you weren’t there, you just couldn’t know-or believe-what you’ve missed.
Sure, Paul’s made recordings here and there, including a few live albums and playing guest roles on other people’s records, but he has never released a full-length studio album—until now.Produced by songwriter and guitarist Kent McDaniel, That’s Just How I Am showcases Tawl Paul’s talent beautifully, backed by a host of great players. His vocals soar over innovative arrangements of classic songs. “Rollin’ and Tumblin’,” for instance, boasts the bluegrass banjo of Lew Hendrix. Other surprises abound: like Paul’s gravelly baritone virtually crooning Johnny Mercer’s “Autumn Leaves” and John Prine’s “Hello in There,” with an ethereal flute calling back the melodies. But the centerpieces of the album are the six raw, unadulterated originals. There’s a ferocious rendition of Paul’s own “Baldheaded Blues,” originally released in a far more restrained version on a local compilation in 1992. Two great songs by producer Kent McDaniel deserve special mention: “Big Jim,” based loosely on Tawl Paul’s life, and a pointed song for our tumultuous times, “May You Still Believe.”.

Robert Burton Hubele has a catalogue of experiences as varied as the stylings of his Country, Bluesy, Jazzy songs. The same can be said for his experience of love.
Always a songwriter first, Hubele has created his eleventh cd release of his original songs, A Lucky Man.A Lucky Man is a collection of dynamic travelling romances both written and guided by the Laws of Attraction which, like Hubele's songwriting, can take people everywhere they never imagined. Interwoven throughout the passages in these songs, there's a continued meeting and parting of movements of the heart and the movement of life. A Lucky Man works its magic and, from the first note, wins the ears of even the most guarded of listeners. As one in a series of themed albums of Robert’s deep-rooted Roots and Blues, what you get is an incredible display of imagination from a truly avant-garde songwriting talent. Robert Burton Hubele currently focusses on music for Movie & Television as well as select performance dates. King Kool and his Royal Blues invite you to celebrate the blues. The Blues. It’s not just a style of music.
It’s a way of life. And you don’t have to work on a plantation in the Mississippi Delta or a loading dock in Chicago. Everybody lives the blues at some point in their lives. The guy who pumps your gas. The guy who does your taxes. The guy who pours your drinks.
Everybody. But blues music isn’t about feeling bad about the hand life deals. It’s about feeling good in spite of it.
The Blues isn’t a surrender - it’s an affirmation. King sings, “Everyday I have the blues”, he’s not complaining, he’s celebrating. Blues fans don’t yell, “Oh no!” They yell “Oh yeah!” The same celebration of the blues is what makes a night with King Kool and his Royal Blues such an uplifting experience. Breathing it. Experiencing it. You can feel the emotion in every note he sings; every strum of the guitar. Kern Pratt has the blues and he shows it off in every song on Greenville, MS What About You.Now, drawing on life experiences and events, Pratt is writing about and singing the blues. He shares feelings and emotions that are truthful, raw and transparent.
When he plays, the blues come alive!Kern is an emotional artist and man, he wears his feelings close to the surface, and they show up in his music in wonderful ways. Kern wrote “Loving that Feeling”, the opening track, about a good time that is in the past on a particularly good day, while “Torn Between Love and Hate” is Kern’s song about a bad time in his life.
He wrote “Something’s Gone Wrong” after a spat with his lady while getting ready for the studio and this album. Kern chose to cover some of his favorite songs that hit the same notes, including Mick Kolassa’s “Baby’s Got Another Lover”, a song about a partner’s addiction, Larry Van Loon’s “Rita”, another song about addiction, as well as other numbers that tell real life stories – which is what blues music is all about! The album closes with Kern’s tribute to Bobby Rush, Bobby’s song “Chicken Heads”, Kern is joined on this track by fellow Endless Blues Artist Jeff Jensen and his band and they have a ball with this great song. So, please sit back and enjoy some Mississippi blues. God Bless Us All - 2:34Delta Joe Sanders grew up on Glover Plantation in Desoto County, Mississippi. His father ran the 10,000 acre plantation where the family lived and at an early age, Joe developed a kinship with the help, who also lived on the plantation. His lyrics, often deceptively simple, range from humourous anectdotes of love-gone-wrong to insightful reflections of the struggle to survive in a fast pace world far removed from the earthiness of the Mississippi Delta.
Joe describes his songwriting this way: “A song starts working on me, sort of how pearls are made. They just start agitating. ”“Joe Sander’s heart is shaped like Mississippi. Through it runs a Big Blue River spawning tributaries and capillaries like snakes, gentle but dangerous – above which hands kudzu, wisteria and other strange vegetation unnameable except by some half-mad, half-genius horticulturist. His tunes are rare Delta Thundersong birds (endangered and exotic) rising from the mud Byhalian and Greenwooded, strong meat for most of us who lift our beaks for the plastic manna in squared cellophane. Some of his brilliance pops up unnoticed – queer mushrooms grafted amongst our quotidian grapes, teaching our souls to say “more” while our understanding reels backward.
Joe offers no gratuitous sanctuary. Listening, one must braid one’s own thread into rope and knead one’s own bread into baked buckets – then dip into th eliving water of Joe’s Big Blue River. Blue Blue - 0:57Connie has been recognised as one of the finest Blues singers in the Uk today. The winner of “Best Female Vocalist Uk” no less than five times has earned Connie her place in the Gallery of Greats, alongside Alexis Corner and Eric Clapton to name just two.
Her incredible stage presence and powerful vocal have also been recognized overseas as she was twice voted “European Blues Vocalist of the year” by the “Blues Trophies Awards” Pride of place is her award from the people of Liverpool for “Performing Arts”.and is still being nominated.Connie grew up in Liverpool and was singing in her church and school choirs from the age of 5 yrs. Singing was never a career option, nor did Connie wish to until she met and married Bass Player Terry Harris who persuaded Connie to step on stage.
Since that first night, Connie decided she never wanted to leave. Together they have shared that stage since.Connie burst onto the blues scene making her debut at the “Great British R&B Festival at Colne and never looked back.Performing in over 30 countries, Connie has wowed audiences in Europe and from Moscow to LA. Some of the more memorable occasions included: In New York at the famous “Bitter End” Recording at “Cotton Row” Studios Memphis, with the great Teenie Hodges known for his work with Al Green, whom Connie later met at his church. And of course singing at BB Kings Club, Beale Street, not to mention singing on Hollywood Boulevard. Then there was Glastonbury. But most of all for Connie has to be touring UK with the late, great BB king, culminating in a show at the world famous Royal Albert Hall London. Connie herself said “Nervous? I was both nervous and ecstatic at the same time!
Not only was I on stage at the Albert Hall, but BB King was listening backstage!”Connie is also known as a songwriter, DJ and unforgettable performer.

Okay - 5:468. Let U Go - 4:149. Times Turning - 5:0010. Stars - 4:3511. Little By Little - 5:13Perhaps the secret behind Nicholas David’s organic, natural sound is as simple as letting the music arise organically and naturally. There was no apparent rush to create Yesterday’s Gone, released three years after With These Hands.
In fact, his time spent opening for, and playing with the Devon Allman Project, seems to have been the catalyst behind the musical connections and inspirations that define his newest album. Recorded in New Orleans with the guiding hand of Samantha Fish, the team of David (vocals, keys), Duane Betts (guitar), Jonathan Long (guitar), Charlie Wooten (bass) and Scott Graves (drums) deftly blends southern soul and blues into an earthy, 11-song collection.Sharing a similar timbre with its predecessor, Yesterday’s Gone heavily features David’s voice, and it sits high in the mix throughout the album—as it should. Its raw richness serves as the natural focus, but the songwriting and instrumental accompaniment are equally impressive. The mostly upbeat tracks all boast lush, warm, analog sounds that vary in number and amplitude as the songs require. The production is meticulous without being overwrought.“Hole in the Bottom” sets the tone for much of the album with a heavy emphasis on David’s voice, piano and organ leads, and a willingness to make dynamic changes within individual songs.
An understated guitar solo carries the second half of the tune up to the gentle revisitation of the main piano theme. “Heavy Heart” changes tempo, but maintains many of the same characteristics, namely, great playing and an honest, soulful feel. The first true standout, “With or Without,” begins with and builds around a memorable melody delivered through a dual-guitar harmony. As much as David can carry a song on his own, the shared spotlight with another musical aspect really brings the track to fulfillment. Jazzier than its album-mates, “Curious” employs the same focus-shift away from David’s vocals, and towards the accompaniment that usually buoys the song and the singing.A true New Orleans gumbo has to include a touch of R&B and a smattering of soul; “I’m Interested” and “Peel Back the Leaves,” respectively provide those ingredients.
“Times Turning” opens with an emotive, cascading piano progression that shares space with the album’s most poignant lyrical verses. Immediately contrasting the simple structure of “Times Turning,” “Stars” shines as a multipart composition with an anthemic chorus. Between those two numbers and “With or Without,” a case can be made for any being the best song of the set.“Little by Little,” a fun, jangly number, closes the album with a Crescent City flavoring of sounds.
Yesterday’s Gone’s many components all play their part in making this album a winner. First listenings will undoubtedly gravitate towards David and his mellifluous voice, but each subsequent visit will peel back another layer of the sonic onion. “Peel back the leaves, just one more day, break off the bark, so the roots will stay.” Nicholas “Family Man” David and his cohorts plant profoundly deep roots on this effort. Killer Louisiana stuff from a time before genre splicing became the norm, any real music fan will drop their jaw in amazement here. Killer stuff throughout.' - Chris Spector, Midwest Record ReviewMy Dony is the second project Grant and Dirk Powell have worked together on - their first, Sun Might Shine on Me, came out in 2015 and was met with wide critical acclaim. It was mostly an acoustic album, and spanned a wide range of traditional American roots music. My Dony started out as an eclectic album, but it became clear early on that it needed to be an electric blues record in an old-school style. Grant's harmonica and vocals and Dirk's electric guitar come from the older roots of the blues tree, as do the drumming of Jamie Dick and the bass playing of Jason Sypher - the world class rhythm section that propels Rhiannon Giddens fine band.
During the second round of recording, they brought in Corey Ledet, a world-class accordion player from Southwest Louisiana; a musician steeped in the area's zydeco and blues traditions. Corey is stylistically often compared to the late great Clifton Chenier. Bitrate: 320K/sYear: 2019Time: 55:32Size: 127,3 MBLabel: QuestStyles: BluesArt: FrontTracks Listing:1. Looking Back - 4:142. Blazing guitars and powerful grooves bring a unique flavor and sound on their debut release.he Grand Moff Band began in 2017 when aspiring singer-songwriter Cody Lee Moomey of Morrisonville Illinois teamed up with veteran guitarist Clint Brockmeyer. Cody wanted to expand his roots-country music into a band, and Clint was looking for a singer to front his blues-rock project, which included Jarrod Lebeck on drums, Jeff Boston on bass and vocals, and Jamie Thiessen on backing vocals. The group quickly melded into a tight band, writing and recording original music at Clint Brockmeyer’s County Line Studio in Morrisonville. Meegwetch also to manager Alex Daniels, Myra, Mary, Ernie Guilbault & family for their wonderful support in the early days. Also to the late Dorothy Betz & her staff at the Indian & Metis Friendship Centre during 1968/69. They helped us survive some of the most lean times. This album of music is also dedicated to the late, great, unforgettable Jim Flett who arrived in Winnipeg about the same time we did. He also mentored & pioneered guitar playing in Indian country for many decades. He was the ‘go to’ guitarman for Sunshine Records Studios in their hey day. He played on hundreds of recordings all through the 70’s, 80’s, 90’s well into the 21st century before Indian country lost him to illness.
We the FEATHERMEN, benefited from him always being in tip top playing form; which meant, we had to be in good form as well.Last, but not least, meegwetch to the many friends, families & fans that still remember where it all began; at a little dance hall at the Indian & Metis Friendship Centre located at 73 Princess Street. A safe place that also welcomed the huge Indian migration to the city of Winnipeg, MB. In the late 1960’s.
